While waiting for the long queue I just took the chance to observe how they implemented some fire safety tools as a sort of visual benchmarking study of the fire safety systems implemented at Lourdes Hospital for contrast with what our condo The Eastwood Lafayette III currently have..

Why Benchmark a Hospital?

As a highly regulated institutional facility, the hospital utilizes clear, compliant, and highly effective safety protocols that serve as an excellent blueprint for our own residential community.

By analyzing these real-world examples, we can identify gaps in our condominium's current setup and establish a practical, step-by-step roadmap to upgrade our building's life safety features.

While a residential condominium operates differently than a healthcare facility, both environments share a critical priority: safely managing high-occupancy spaces during an emergency.

Note: One thing that is noticeable is how many luminous FIRE EXIT signs populate the walls almost near the floor taking into account that smoke from a major fire will rise up to obscure signs if positioned higher on the walls. 

Old manual pull station no longer has the horizontal acrylic seal.

Notice the former drill holes which indicates the original position of the fire extinguisher which has now been lowered.  Also notice the gray doors which are more likely FIRE RATED for protection.

 

This "How To Use the Fire Extinguisher (TPASS)" is luminous and just printed on luminous sticker and mounted on sintra board. We can actually do the same for all emergency signages more economically.
